We have had a presence in Northern Uganda
for more than 20 years
As a missionary organisation we have overseen developing people and communities through evangelism, health, leadership development, literacy and income generation projects. We are currently establishing a missionary base in Gulu, strengthening our infrastructure and pioneering in church planting, leadership and projects.
Upcoming Projects
The Child Sponsorship programme. We will find sponsors for little Bruce and Isaiah ( Pastor Charles’s sons) in the UK.
I understand we need to replace the motorbike on site as it is now old. Can you work out the cost of replacing the bike with a new one. We may be able to apply for a grant for this.
CooPee. We are considering working on providing a borehole and a teacher for this community. Presumably some surveying work will be needed to establish whether a borehole is possible on the site. Can you also check for me that the new road in to CooPee is now built so a surveyor could be able to attend the community in order to establish whether a borehole is possible and then what the cost of the new borehole would be. I think that Rosalind has started thinking about finding a Christian teacher for CooPee. We would need to know the cost of a teacher and how many days she/he would work with the CooPee. The idea would be to provide teaching on numbers and literacy but also to share faith with the local community. My vision is one day to have a church plant in CooPee and perhaps a suitable building for the children to have schooling but that’s probable not for 2025.
We need a building for the children’s Sunday School on the TEAMS site now that around 200 children are coming to Sunday school each Sunday. Duncan has provided plans for a building.
Items for Prayer
Please hold Bruce Thomson and Sheila Maycock in our prayers as we start finding suitable grant funders for the above projects. I know that you are all praying people and it was a delight to meet you all when I came to Gulu and to join in with your worship and also had the privilege of preaching in your church.
